Icewind Dale takes place within the AD&D Forgotten Realms campaign world. It is located in the northern wastes of Faerun, a continent of the larger world of Aber-Toril. The game begins Eleint, 1281 DR, Year of the Cold Soul. This is sixteen years before the famous Drizzt Do'Urden came to the surface from the Underdark. Your character/s are the heros here and shall make history unfold. Enough history lessons let the game begin!
